Lorne Pier Seafood Restaurant

Sensational food value for money fabulous bread. We would recommend to anyone. Indoor and outdoor eating areas. right on the pier.

Went there today with my family (4 people) from Melb as recommended by a good friend. Upon entering there were at least 4 tables with dirty plates which had not been cleaned. I asked the guy who took 10 mins to acknowledge us standing there. He said 'no tables for 30 mins, take or leave it, or sit outside'. So we sat outside not knowing if it was table service or counter service. Went back inside and the same guy (Greek i think), said 'i told you the wait is 30 mins ok'. We picked up and left for a beautiful meal 5 mins up the road. Rude and arrogant and won;t be seeing me, or may mates again. Feel like opening a Seafood Restaurant next door!

We had a wonderful lunch - restaurant was up to its normal high standards. The beer battered whiting & chips & salad & home made herb bread - excellent. Miguel was really great - thanks very much.

Good / fresh Fish and seafood, for instance excellent shrimps with garlic chili tomato sauce. Quite pricey, but friendly service and great view worth it.

We stopped at this restaurant for its strategic position, on an evening when the town was almost deserted for a football game on TV. We were among the few customers of the place and we were treated very well. The local fish we caught, snapper and salmon, was great, as were the desserts. To try (in 2, given the generous portion) the pavlova!
