Le Quai Gourmand - Lorient

Friendly, warm vibes and excellent food at a very reasonable price point. Fish of the day was full of complex flavors at 9 euros. Moules were simple and excellent. Ambience is nothing special but that made the experience all the more surprising for its quality. Compliments to the chef and we'll be back!

We cannot speak highly enough of this restaurant. In fact we dined there twice during our three night stay in Lorient. We telephoned for a reservation from England as it was suggested that this was necessary. On arrival we were welcomed by the owner/manager, shown to our reserved table and we were told that as we reserved in advance there was a welcome drink awaiting us. There was a good range of meals on offer, plenty of tasty bread, great house wine – two of us had the red and the other two the white - as well as some delicious ice cream to finish off the meal. We could have chosen other desserts but all of us decided that their ice cream seemed a good idea to finish off the meal.

Me and my friends have been coming here since November and we love it! The owner is so welcoming and friendly, always willing to help us with our French and looks after us very well. The food is always lovely and we've never been disappointed. It is very good value for money and we will definitely be back again!
