Right next to Ornaldo's restaurant about 2 blocks off the main square. A generous one dip cone is 20 pesos, about $1USD. Other ice cream shops on the square are at least 50% more. No big sign or fancy storefront, just good ice cream. We...have been there 3 times in the last week.
Amazing selection of ice cream and popsicle flavors in this shop! Every menu in town should include La Michoacana as Option #1. It would take at least a month to try them all, and that would require several visits each day. We tried 6 and...all were delicious.
Delicious paletas made with natural fruits, nuts and chocolate. Tons of flavours! We couldn’t stop going back to get more!
Our generation remembers how special a trip to the ice cream parlor was on a summer night! This place brings back all those good memories. My kids and now my grandkids always talk about our nightly visits to LM when Loreto comes up. This is...home made ice cream so be advised their treats are not loaded down with sugar, like America sweets. Their fruit bars taste like the fruit, their ice cream is not full of binders. Because of this, Some flavors appear a little bland. We prefer the Pistachio, coffee, berry and cream, and they have a version of a B J favorite: cherry ice cream, with cherries and dark chocolate bits (guess which one is my favorite). I think you’ll enjoy a stop!
