Awesome food it is absolutely amazing! Best service and very nice staff. Am going back !
In winter there are few options for eating out on Lord Howe Island. The day we arrived (a Sunday) only the Anchorage and the Bowling Club were open. We chose the Anchorage and were very surprised at the quality of food which was excellent. The staff were helpful and friendly. We returned on Thursday evening for the Pizza and Pasta night as they had offered me a Gluten Free option. I also bought bread there which was freshly baked each day. Yes it is expensive but so is everything on the island. The owner has his own plane which he uses to fly food from the mainland so the menu is amazing considering the location of the restaurant!
Excellent food, the chefs here know their trade. Really liked the daily changes to the menu. Service staff a bit up and down but on the whole a very enjoyable experience.
Nice cafe near the beach and in the centre of town. The tomato bruschetta with avo, pesto and haloumi $20 was fresh and delicious. It was a good portion size and nice presentation too. The latte was alright. It’s a dark roast. I didn’t see prices but the total for tomato bruschetta $20, fruit salad and latte was $37. They also had freshly baked muffins on the Friday we went which looked really good but we didn’t grab any. Def give them a try if you’re craving a sweet.
