Cool place with good food and lots of bike accessories. The goats are a plus. Would definitely recommend stopping there.
I thought I was going to leave a raving review as the sales people were very helpful. I was interested in a old rental bike they had for a discount and they suggested I rent a bike (the exact same one, only newer) for a quick 6 mile loop and if I liked it I could come back, purchase the original bike and they would discount my rental. So we return in less than 2hrs and a woman is paying for the bike I said I was most likely going to purchase. I asked why they couldn’t have told her someone would be back within the hour and asked her to wait. They said oh well. It’s just a shame because I fell in love with the bike I test drove and was ready to purchase but was never given the chance and they said they couldn’t discount anything else to my price range. I understand how sales and business works but I was just extremely disappointed that we had, what I thought was a verbal deal, and they gave us no chance to purchase before selling it out from underneath us. I’m sure they are all great employees but this was a huge customer service/business fail. So I guess, if you purchase from them… don’t walk to your car for your card. They might sell it before you get back.
Great place to enjoy and learn about mountain biking, and enjoy beautiful terrain and friendly people! The individual attention and instruction from our guide was perfect and perfectly tailored to our level, the bikes were super nice, lots of trail options, good beer, and cute goats! What more could you want?
Update: we pointed out a few of the issues we had to the campground and they took the time to explain in detail their plans to fix each one. They also offered us a three night stay gift card. This was really generous and thoughtful so we plan to give them another try next time we are visiting the area! We stayed 3 nights in one of their primitive spots. I would say they are primitive in that they don’t maintain them at all (no flat spots in our site, high grass, rickety picnic table) but not primitive at all in that they’re all extremely close together. The bathrooms were very clean and even with a full campground they were never too crowded. We were a bit annoyed that they didn’t enforce quiet hours (there was a group loudly partying and playing music past midnight our first night there). The restaurant is really convenient; food is nothing special but good beer! We wouldn’t stay here again if we could find reservations somewhere else, but if you’re looking for an okay spot with bathrooms and really close to NRGNP then you will be happy here.
