Contribuiți la feedbackIf you're looking for the best, you found it at Freddy. The best halibut fish and chips on the Westcoat, by far. Don't go all the way to the beach and waste your time. Battered and rides exactly right, every time, with ingenious friys. When they opened a restaurant in Long Beach, they would steal the show.
Pretty good food, service was good, but almost everything is fried. Looking for a small variety. It wasn't told about the specials, but other people were told about them.
I love this place. My wife and I are here twice. She has celiac disease, and the gluten-free options are a great victory in this department. The food and service as a whole were super both times we were here.
The food started. The blackened halibut on Pasta Alfredo with mushrooms was simply the best. Great taste. My compliments to the boss. We were comfortable to eat in: a big bonus. Great service, very friendly and attentive. Can't wait to try the crabs Mac and cheese. I think I'll be back soon. Enjoy! Cheers!
Stop in just for the Halibut! Our first time here, very nice! Freddy's is a cute seaside decorated building inside and out. Makes you feel like you're at the ocean! We tried their Halibut dinner, hot juicy deep-fried Halibut in a lite crisp coating, crisp fries, cold creamy coleslaw, and plenty of lemon and tartar sauce. The menu has many seafood choices most available as an A la Carte to a family sized meal. Pasta/Fettuccini, chicken strips, sandwiches, burgers, steak...dessert... the menu keeps on going! I tried their clam chowder, hot lightly seasoned (thinner) creamy soup filled with potatoes and clams. I loved it! You can get the chowder in a cup, bowl, or bread bowl! Perfect for a cold rainy day! I had to ask about dessert, yes, they do! I enjoyed a nice slice of Lemon Bar, yum! The waitress heard us talking about the possibility of bringing friends here on our next trip to the beach. She said they have quit a few people who just that!
