Restaurant N & G - Longueuil

This is one of those places you don't want to tell people about so that it stays quiet and accessible. I've eaten subs here regularly since 1974. 'Nuff said.

I've been going to this place for over 10 years and it has always been a pleasant experience. The place is rarely crowded and parking makes it convenient.The hamburger steak is my personal favorite. Taken as the meal of the day with soup and dessert included, this represents great value (varies every day of the week). The hamburger/cheeseburger all-dressed is a must for this place. I personally prefer their submarines to their pizza but both are safe choices. The fries are unfortunately average but still good. I would highly recommend this place if you're looking for fast food.

Nous avons commandé 2 sous-marins à 18:00 ce soir. Il est 21:30 et n'avons jamais reçu notre commande. Le restaurant ferme à 21:00. Après 1h30 d'attente, nous avons tenté d'appeler le restaurant à plusieurs reprises mais il n'y avait aucune réponse. Quelqu'un a même répondu et raccroché aussitôt. Quel total manque de classe et de respect envers sa clientèle! Je n'en reviens toujours pas! Non seulement ce resto a perdu 2 clients ce soir mais il peut s'assurer que tous nos contacts de Longueuil et des environs seront mis au courant de notre mésaventure.

I was disappointed when friends wanted to meet at N & G Restaurant before heading in town Tuesday night. I am always put off by greasy deli foods. I was pleasantly surprised by my experience here. We chose the club sandwich, and our waitress Martine suggested we take it as part of the daily special, which included a soup, drink and dessert. Why not? The minestrone we were presented with was thick and hearty, with lots of small pasta and chunks of ground beef, and very good. I would be surprised if it wasn't homemade. Our club sandwiches were perfectly toasted, loaded with lots of chicken breast meat, crispy lettuce and red tomatoes, slathered in just the right amount of mayo. The fries were a little overdone, but Martine was an excellent waitress, returning 3 times to make sure we didn't mind them so brown. The meal was topped off by a piece of store-bought black forest cake, which was good, and just enough sweetness to finish off a very yummy meal. And talk about value - we both had the club sandwich special with soup, soft drinks and dessert, all for $23.It is very obvious that this place is well-liked and has a good rotation of regulars, as several times we heard clients greeted by name. It's not surprising that N & G has been an institution in this neighborhood for the past 39 years. I would not hesitate to return, and probably will soon, if only to try their renowned subs and poutines(Martine's suggestion).

I have been going here for over 25 years always order the special sub extra sauce Its a secret recipe and worth the extra miles to eat one.this restaurant has been past to the son he knows his regulars and are very fast and friendly I would try something lese and have seen other plates but the subs are so dam good I cant eat anything else
