Contribuiți la feedbackMy sister and I used to frequent this place because I love pho and wanted to support a family-owned business, but I wanted to write this review because I got whiplash of a memory about this place when I was craving pho.On July 4th, my friend and I had called to check the hours and whoever picked up (after confirming it was Saigon Express) told me they were open until 7pm. I saw a sign for the hours and was confused because it said they closed at around 5pm and it was 15 minutes before. I decided we could at least go inside and clarify just in case, but when my friend and I entered, we got immediately and aggressively shooed out by the owner without even a chance to explain ourselves. It was really unnecessary and all they had to do was say I 'm sorry but we 're going to close very soon. Instead they acted like I was demanding to be served because they were still technically opened when in reality I didn 't even get a chance to turn my head after entering or ask my question. After that, it left a really bad taste in my mouth and I never came back, especially after tastier pho places opened near Village Peaks. Why assume the worst of me when I hadn 't even gotten a single word out of my mouth? All in all, the food is decent from what I remember, but their pho just wasn 't as flavorful compared to all the different pho places I have tried in my lifetime and in the area. The chow fun was pretty nice, but not worth exclusively coming for.I understand they 're trying to make a living, but the reason I am writing this review is to tell the owners to honestly just treat their customers better and consistently. They had been generally friendly in other times prior but this one time was so bad it overwrote every other experience. I am glad they survived the pandemic, but I just hope they do better because it won 't be with my patronage.
I have eaten Pho at Saigon Express countless times, and it has always been consistent. I have had better Pho, but this is my current favorite in Longmont. I can only recommend the Beef Steak Pho, as that is what I always order. Pretty darn tasty. I'll be back.
I had the noodle bowl, which was very good.. Also had a cup of the wanton soup! The soup was amazing!!
Try the wanton egg noodle soup or the amazing Pad Thai, you won't be disappointed.
This used to be a decent spot. 3 meals. 75 bucks. This is not fine dining, but the portions and prices may lead you to believe it is. Spend 10 bucks on gas, drive to Westminster or Thornton and have a real meal. That's what my family and I will do next time we crave Vietnamese cuisine. I am done with this joint.
