The Inkan - Long Island City

I recently tried the food at this restaurant and it was both delicious and authentic. I haven't tasted anything quite like it at other Latin American restaurants. I highly recommend trying one of their ceviches, as they offer a variety of 6 or 7 to choose from. The location is very convenient, located near a subway station in Long Island City. The restaurant is spacious, especially by New York standards. The prices are reasonable, as my partner and I paid $70 for a dinner for two before tips. I definitely plan on visiting again to try out some of their other dishes.

This restaurant has a warm atmosphere and serves incredible food! The staff is very friendly and the vibes are great. You have to try the Ceviches, they are the best I've ever had. They also have a lovely outdoor seating area. I will definitely return.

I have visited The Inkan a few times and have sampled a variety of dishes from their menu, so I decided it was time to write a review. Every dish I have tried has been delicious, fresh, and authentic, and the prices are reasonable! The restaurant is conveniently located (just a 2-minute walk from the train station) and is very clean. The outdoor patio is a lovely spot to dine in warm weather. The service was good, and the owner is friendly and attentive. I particularly enjoyed the Palta Rellena and the Ceviche LIC - the squid ink in the ceviche gives it a unique black color, but it is absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying it. The lomo saltado with green rice is also a favorite of mine. And be sure not to leave without trying the freshly made Alfajores - they are a must-try! As a fan of Peruvian cuisine, I have to say that The Inkan comes highly recommended from me.

The staff is very friendly and helpful with ordering. Started off with drinks mojito [ok] margarita [Great] Started the appetite with 2 empanadas which were HUGE. It was a homemade corn dough that they were wrapped in.. DELICIOUS, stuffed withchicken and potatoes with their cultural seasonings. AMAZING Then main meals Chicken chicharonnes 25/5 Crispy, juicy, seasonedto perfection 1/4 chicken 5/5 Juicy ,moist ,skin doesn't become separate from the meat SIDES Mashed potatoes 4/5 needed to add alittle salt Rice beans 10/5 the beans really bring all of the food together. The bean broth goes amazingly with theempanada. Sweet plantains 4.5/5 a little too soft but delicious nonetheless Great spot for friends or even a nice date night.Will be back again.

Oh my goodness! This place is marvelous! Kind and generous staff and the food is OFF THE CHAIN! So delicious and plenty to fill up on! The Spare Ribs! Dang! Can't go wrong with anything on the menu!
