Gantry Kitchen - Long Island City

Gantry is a favorite local bar. It's one of my go-to places for watching sports (mainly soccer) but also great for date nights or hangouts with friends. It was the first bar my boyfriend and I went to when we moved to the neighborhood years ago and when Isuggested it for our wedding rehearsal dinner, we figured it would be a nice, casual welcome party but it was even better. Whenwe talked to Paula, she was so genuinely kind and helpful with organizing the event. The event itself far exceeded ourexpectations. It was warm and welcoming, it looked beautiful, everyone felt catered to, the food was delicious, the drinks weresuperb and I cannot rave about it enough. Thank you to Paula and the entire staff for everything!

Nice decor and attention. I ordered a fish and chip which was under cooked and extremely soaked in oil the other meals were good.

Nice bar and restaurant with indoor and dog-friendly outdoor seating. They have a couple TVs inside and they also set up a TV outside to watch sports. There was only one waitress serving all of the tables and she was curt and didn?t have the nicestattitude, but that?s probably because she was stressed and overworked (so I don?t blame her). That issue aside, I had a spicyjalapeño margarita (which was REALLY delicious and I highly recommend), draft beer, and chicken quesadilla. The food was goodand so was the portion size. I took half of it to go and the overworked waitress even threw in an extra side of guacamole forme?so she?s alright in my book.

I did not get food here. Got a drink here with a buddy of mine around 6pm on a weekend. There was plenty of open seating and i think maybe 1 person working the counter and taking orders. Corner location. Plenty of nice indoor seating, but also looked likea big outdoor covered area too. The drink menu was pretty standard. I got the smoky margarita (pictured) and my buddy got abeer. We spent maybe 45 minutes and left but i really liked the chill vibe and professional bartender. Well be back

I had an amazing experience at this bar in L.I.C. The bartender Paula was friendly, attentive, and funny. She made us feel like we were part of the family. The menu here is one of the best in the neighborhood, and my personal favorite is the McGantry nuggets. I would give this place five stars.
