Oi Asian Fusion- Long Beach

Place is not secure, homeless people going around the main dining area. Just order to go, unless you don't mind that. The people working here are efficient and friendly. And the food is as close to what I remember Tapsilog is back home. Not sweet and not salty. Just right.

I ordered the chicken karaage with garlic sauce while my friends were getting takeout for lunch. Unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. The chicken was overcooked and tough, and the garlic sauce was a bit overpowering with an excess of raw garlic. Perhaps I'll try one of their bowls next time to give the restaurant another chance.

When I arrived, I had to wait a few minutes while the cashier was outside chatting with someone on a horse—yes, you read that correctly. Eventually, I was able to pay, left a 20% tip, and took my food home. Unfortunately, everything that was fried had a slightly burnt taste. The egg rolls were hard and difficult to bite into, which was unpleasant for our gums. The batter on the Fried Chicken Adobo was also tough, and the Chicken Longanisa patty was hard on the outside. The rice in both bowls was a bit dry, but the garlic rice in the Chicken Longanisa Bowl had great flavor despite its dryness. The Cilantro Cream was overly creamy, and none of us could tell if that was intentional or if it was going bad. The Karaage Fried Chicken bun had good flavor, but like the other fried items, it also had a slight burnt taste, and the batter was tough. The chicken itself was dry and lacked tenderness, and the steamed bun was dry as well. To top it all off, they forgot my Manila Mango desserts. By the time I returned to the restaurant at 9:06 PM, the doors were locked and the lights were off. I even asked some people sitting outside if they had just left, hoping to find my order, but they mentioned they had left about 15 minutes earlier. Overall, I regretted spending $75.98 and reached out to the restaurant about my missing items before even eating. I plan to link them to this review if they respond so they can understand what I went through. I gave a two-star review instead of one because the flavors were decent; I just wish the food had been better prepared. I would be open to trying the restaurant again, but not so close to closing time—though that shouldn’t excuse the quality of the food. Tonight’s experience felt extremely overpriced for meals that none of us finished, in addition to the missing items. I've never disputed a charge in my 40 years, but I'm seriously considering contacting my credit card company over this. If you choose to eat here, definitely avoid doing so within an hour of closing time. I’ll happily update this review if the restaurant addresses my concerns, but I’m not counting on it.

I was excited to try a new restaurant near our home, the food looked amazing and we were excited to try it , only to be told the kitchen was closed at 8:22 pm when it says they close at 9pm The worker , or manager as he claims, Anthony said it's because they need time to clean. Extremely disappointed and really unprofessional wearing both AirPods and rapping while talking to us

The food here is excellent, but I wish the burger combo included a drink. Overall, it’s really good, although it can be a bit pricey.
