Baked By The Ocean - Long Beach

Very disappointed, very bad customer service. I brought some friends to talk business at Baked By The Ocean because of their lovely decor and delicious sweets. We got tea and goodies to eat and sat by the table area to talk business and they had great music on but the sound was overbearing and we were having a hard time hearing each other because the soundbox was right in front of us on the table/counter.I lowered the sound a little but someone, I actually think it was the owner, kept raising it. There was no one in the store except us eating there, some people walked in and out and all the other chairs were free. After a while, that person who I think was the owner told us to stop lowering the volume. I told her that I couldn't hear my friends talking because the soundbox was right in front of us. She said your ruining the sound, I said I just lowered it a bit because I was trying to enjoy our tea and conversation in her store. She actually then said that they weren't allowing indoor seating, but there were no signs saying that and when we first walked in there were about 7 girls sitting at all those chairs. I told her that.I felt like she was kicking us out of the store. No matter how pretty or how good the food is, the owner is completely transactional and does not have any sort of pleasant environment and customer service for customers. I will never eat there or order from there again. I felt extremely mistreated and embarrassed by that. Incredible too, because there were only me and my 2 friends in the store and don't understand why the music needed to be deafening and loud.

Very impressed with the talent, flavors, and colors. We got the rainbow cookie brownie, 2 cake pops, and I don't know what the other 2 things were called. Ummm yea these were only for 2 adults and a toddler. The flavors were great. Coffee was good (but who comes here for coffee lol). Very confused with the ring around the cup. I'd just get your own logo cups or something. I was very afraid of dropping my coffee because the sleeve kept slipping up and down. I'm going to say that the cupcakes things with like a gram cracker texture on the bottom was a big hit. Had leftovers for the next day.

The decor is really cute and they have some fun desserts. I have been a bunch of times and nothing has ever really wowed me. Their stuff is good but not great. If you're in the area stop by but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there, especially for the pricepoint

I went in for a cupcake. came out with thr cupcake and 2 amazing s’mores that were delicious! I'll be sure to stop again.
