Red Slate At The Upper Pass Lodge

Can't believe I haven't rated this place before!!! I started going here when I moved to Vermont in 2018. The owner is awesome, the staff is great, AND there's a restaurant inside. On top of all of that, I get to bring my dog and it's close to two mountains. Full heart, can't lose. Love it here.

The food is outstanding! The waitstaff is amazing! And the view is beautiful!

Great atmosphere, Vermont-sourced wine, beer, and liquor. Very friendly atmosphere, and the management and staff are great.

I have been coming here for 7 years. Vince is amazing. The food is to die for. Pet friendly. Cozy. Walk to Magic Mountain. I can't imagine coming to Vermont and not staying here. It's a tradition the whole family (and dog) looks forward to.

This is a beautiful lodge at an iconic mountain. I had a clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious and inexpensive. Vince makes great french toast. I ate dinner there as well; it was fantastic. A great staff warm and friendly and genuinely welcoming. It was perfect; can't wait for my next visit.
