I've also tried the fish and chips, and they are good but nothing to write home about. I usually come here for poke bowls over anything else. The prices are fair considering the quality. I don't like to cheap out on raw fish, so I don't mind paying a little more for something truly delicious and fresh. Plus, I expect to pay a few extra dollars when eating at the Market. The ambiance is lovely and lends to a general sense of freshness and quality.Overall, Seoul Seafood Shoppe is a great choice for lunch if you're downtown and craving a quality poke bowl.
We ordered a bibimbap and a combo, but we were disappointed to find that there were no Korean dishes available at all. The service, however, was excellent.
Today, I returned but opted for something different instead of my usual bowl. I decided to try the ramen noodles in soup, craving a light, warm noodle dish for lunch. However, I should have trusted my instincts from the start, as there are no posted prices for any of the items. I asked for a seafood noodle, but the staff informed me they didn't have it, which struck me as odd since they had plenty of seafood in stock. So, I settled on egg noodle soup. When my order arrived, I was shocked to see that it cost me $14.18. I would never have agreed to pay that amount if I had been able to see the contents beforehand. What I received was a bowl of instant noodles, a few slices of carrots and onions, and the egg was already broken! I felt completely taken advantage of, especially from a small business that I genuinely wanted to support. It’s disappointing to see the market trying to draw in more customers while seemingly neglecting how they treat their patrons.
I have been thinking a lot before posting up this review. They are normally okay and have an okay price. I still feel that the price for Poke Bowl is a little bit high, but as long as it’s good, I don’t mind.Today, I came back but did not choose the bowl as usual. I chose the Ramen noodles in soup that what’s I wanted for lunch, a light warm noodles soup bowl. But I should go with my guts from the beginning, as they did not post up any prices of any items at all. I asked for a seafood noodle, she said that she did not have it which was funny as the noodle is an instant one, and she was having a lot of seafood there), so I chose egg noodle soup.Came out, this bowl cost me $14.18. I would never pay for it if I could open the take out bowl when she gave me! The bowl of instant noodles, couple slices of carrots and onions, and even the egg was already broken!I felt robbed! I felt robbed from the small business that I wanted support for. I felt upset when the market wants to attract more people but they did not even think about how they treated us!
I greatly enjoyed the BBQ Pork Poke Bowl. I did find it a bit more spicy than I was expecting, but overall this was a very tasty and a very cost effective meal.
