The breakfast special is amazing. The sausages are like nothing I have ever seen. Great coffee, fast service, and a great price. What more could you want?

Food is really good, the breakfasts are so fresh and lots of it. I like my bacon cooked when I order it. And they do that. , but the place is grungy, could do being a lot cleaner. The grounds have never had the grass cut, and the floors need to be cleaned a lot more.

This is a new location with a name change. We were frequent visitors to their great inexpensive breakfasts with bottomless cups of coffee when they ran the former Green Lantern on Commissioners Road. It closed suddenly and I wondered what happened. Happily, they have reappeared as Phat Alberts Star Kitchen on Springbank. They are in a plaza setting with lots of free parking. The room is spacious and bright with a dozen tables.The menu offers lots of choice ranging from breakfast to traditional Canadian fare and a long list of Chinese options although there are only 2 combos- the basic and the meat lovers. The basic is egg roll, sweet & sour chicken balls, chicken chop suey with lots of juicy white chicken slices and chicken fried rice. The meat lovers has breaded pork instead of chop suey but we found it a little tough and dry. My tasty combo was so large I could only eat about half and enjoyed the rest at home the next day! Service was what I've come to expect from this couple-fast,friendly and efficient. I've never seen anyone work harder than this lady and I'm happy they've re-opened in an new spot even if it's farther away.

Because this restaurant was in my Ward (14) and I had rave reviews from friends, I took a chance.

Wouldn't recommend the buffettWe stopped here for the lunch buffett and they only had a few dishesThe place is really run down.
