Bertoldi's Trattoria - London

This is one of the best Italian places in townPerfect for a date night and not too pricey.

About a year ago, my work moved to the downtown areaSince then, this has become a once a week lunch staple.

Safe bet for a special occasion: nice atmosphere, great service and even better food. It's always a treat to go to Bertoldi's!

Great atmosphere, great menu and exceptional wine list. The service is very good with the attention to detail being as important in the front of house as it is in the kitchen. The menu is sufficient for even the fussiest gastronome. The pasta dishes are excellent as are the meat dishes. Salads and desserts are impressive. The only drawback as I see it is that it can get pretty noisy as the restaurant fills....but the food and atmosphere are worth the visit.

This was my third time visiting Bertoldis. The server was friendly and knowledgeable (especially with the wine list). My only minor quibble was we were looking for a high chair for our baby's car seat and they only had 2 which were in use. There is bread served with olive oil and vinegar before the meal which was great. I ordered the Sausage Pasta al Forno and was disappointed that there was no whole wheat option even though the menu insists that there are whole wheat options for all pasta dishes. The dish was tasty but unfortunately was extremely salty. Other than these few issues the experience was a good one. The restaurant itself has a nice, classy atmosphere. I would come back.
