Contribuiți la feedbackWent here specifically for the drinks- and you already know what you're getting into when it's a place that has 2 for 1s. The drinks themselves are ok, they tasted fine. I rated this place low for two reason- service and quality. We stood at the bar for 15 minutes waiting to be served. There was no one else there and there were four people at the bar. We tried getting their attention multiple times with no avail. Then, the drinks were extremely watered down. Usually, I can only have one drink before I need to stop but I drank both of mine and felt nothing. I probably wouldn't go back.
I am writing with deep disappointment and frustration regarding an incident that occurred during our recent visit to your establishment. On the evening of the 28th of February 2024, my partner and I, along with our friends, visited Las Iguanas to celebrate our 8th year anniversary. What should have been a joyous occasion turned into a deeply unpleasant experience due to the reprehensible behaviour of one of the staff members. Upon arriving at Las Iguanas, we were enticed by your advertised brunch deal for £25, which concluded at 11 pm. However, upon inquiring about the offer, we were informed by your staff that a booking was required. Understanding this requirement, we promptly made a booking online for brunch at 8 pm to enjoy the deal. Unfortunately, the evening took a turn when we were attended to by a waiter named Byron. We informed Byron about the new booking and asked if it was okay to now enjoy the brunch menu, excited to enjoy our anniversary. In an act of utter unprofessionalism and disrespect, Byron directed offensive language towards my partner, labelling our decision to book for brunch at 8 pm as c ish. We were completely taken aback and appalled by his choice of language, which not only violated basic standards of decency but also tarnished what should have been a memorable evening for us. When we expressed our shock and asked Byron to clarify what he had said, he callously repeated his offensive remark calling my partner a 'c ', leaving us feeling deeply disrespected and uncomfortable. Such behaviour is entirely unacceptable and has no place in any establishment that purports to provide a welcoming and hospitable environment for its patrons. As a result of Byron 's actions, our anniversary celebration was completely ruined. The incident left us feeling humiliated and distressed, overshadowing what should have been a special occasion shared with loved ones. Bryon then left the restaurant floor to make a phone call. We drank the drinks we had already ordered and then another waiter approached us asking if we wanted any food. Due to Bryon 's offensive language, we wanted to leave the restaurant promptly. We requested the bill, which was provided to us with the service charge added. I stated there is no way we are paying the service charge and for it to be removed. Bryon stated he was sorry for using the language, but our evening was already ruined, and we left the restaurant. I implore you to review your staff training protocols to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future. While I am deeply disappointed by our experience at Las Iguanas, I hope that your prompt and sincere response to this complaint will demonstrate your commitment to upholding the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.
Ordered home delivery last evening (order number #5E976) a burrito, a burger and a quesadilla. Sorry to share that the quality was subpar, the burger which costed £13.95 yet comes with no fries had a long blond hair in it, the burrito was half open/ not rolled well. very disappointing for something where you pay 2.99 delivery (plus tips) and equal service fee as if you are eating in.
I first stopped here because I noticed all the pretty, colorful drinks that were being made by the bar so we checked out the menu and decided to sit at a table. We ordered drinks- I ordered a grapefruit fizz cocktail while my friend had a virgin Mojito. The waitress came back and she placed two of each drink at our table. We thought she made a mistake but she notified us that the drinks were buy one get one free! The drinks were great and mine were strong. As for the food, they had Mexican/ Brazilian inspired items which fell flat to me though. I had the calamares which tasted like they were fried in old oil and the tacos were super tiny. My friend got chips and a burger which didn't look that great either. I would just visit this place to for the drinks and nothing else.
Let 's be honest, I 'm a great fan of this place. They proud themselves on being a Latin American restaurant, but having been there, I have to say that it doesn 't resemble their food that much even though they try (I have to say that 'Albondigas ' looks quite similar to the Argentine one but the food is good and always freshly made as they always fill my requests. I specially like the lunch menu. They have some of the same dishes as in the regular menu but around £2 or £3 cheaper. You can use that spare pounds to order a starter or a dessert... Dulce de Leche Cheesecake anyone? My favourite: The Chicken Tinga Cuban Revolution with curly fries on the side. This place is also very good for a long happy hour (12-7:30 pm , when you can get cocktails, pitchers or beers half price (well, not half price, but you get two of the same for the price of one . Mango Collins is my favourite if you want to know : I have to add that the atmosphere and the service is also nice and friendly. A fair end to a shopping day.
