My Bolognese was mostly sauce with hardly any pasta, and my friend's pomodoro was watered down. The table was dirty with sauce and crumbs, and when we asked, the waiter blamed it on the previous customers and didn't clean it. I do not recommend this place.
The food was average, with nothing particularly special. The staff seemed to be discouraging customers from dining there on New Year's Eve, showing little interest. It was a disappointing experience and I would not go back. Not worth the £79 spent.
We decided to dine at this restaurant because it was conveniently located near our hotel and, since it was our last night, we were feeling a bit lazy. We were glad we didn't discover it earlier in our trip, as we may have dined here more than once. The highlight of our meal was the dessert. I ordered the Panna Cotta and my wife had lemon sorbet with vanilla gelato, topped with meringue and lemon curd. Both were delicious. The caprese salad was also excellent. The pizza and risotto were good, although I found the risotto to be slightly overcooked. Overall, it was a satisfying meal. The service was a bit slow, but since we weren't in a hurry, it was fine. If you find yourself in the area, it's worth giving this restaurant a try.
Your pizza was burnt to perfection and I think that I've had better pizza from Sainsbury's warmed up in a microwave. Everything was alright but it was not the best at all. It was overpriced for not very good food.No wonder Zizzi is not busy!
Homemade Italian pizza in real pizza oven with fire.
