Ye Olde Turk - London

This is hands-down the best Indian food I've ever had, and, trust me, I've had a LOT. I'm amazed to write that this place is in - Winchester?

Apparently the best Indian in Winchester and I can believe it.

Very good meal there last night. Much better than Mumbay spice we've been visiting occasionally over past few years

Very disappointed by restaurant. a new chef asap! if you want her restaurant to be successful! none of the food we ate was Turkish, tasteless eating! I ordered bolinhos de bacalhau, which is in the starter menu, terriblell! that was a kartoffel cake not a cache. bolinho de bacalhau is a Portuguese pastel with potato and cable fish, I know it very well because in Portuguese! please do not call it bolinho de bacalhau because it is not, it is an insult for my country kitchen. the most important courses came before the starters!!!!!! We asked for the ancestor and the waitress looked at us as if we were talking in swedish

The food is lovely here, and generous portions for the main. Especially the mixed kebab platter. The freshly baked bread was also incredible, which is probably what filled us up. The only inconveniences were there seemed to be 2/3 people serving in what was quite a busy restaurant and the card machine wasn't working which was a bit inconvenient, but the Tesco over the road solved that. My brother said his fish although fresh was a tad underseasoned he had the sea bass. However it was really the dressing on the salad that was fab for me. All in all would recommend and would go again.
