Contribuiți la feedbackOn the annual Hindu festival of diwali it is common to gather with the family and enjoy a firm of delicious Indian food. but this year diwali fell on a weekday when I accidentally worked late and beyond, let's be honest, I'm not a qualified Indian cook. so not in the position to make a big family celebration, I took nabeby instead and sister and went into a Nepalese and Indian restaurant. I would not have thought that an Indian restaurant of zone 3 would have needed a booking on Thursday evening, but I was glad to have been neurotic this time and still booked as it was packed and bizarre, that was only with post-works instead of diwali crowds. from a long day...read more
Had been recommended Saffron and as seafood lovers booked for our anniversary. The Nepalese menu offers many dishes you don’t get elsewhere especially fish and the tastes are delicious. A small restaurant with very attentive staff, tasty and different and will definitely be returning
I discovered this restaurant while out walking and searching for a takeaway. The staff were extremely friendly and even served me a pint while I waited for my food. The meal was exceptional, with delicious and fresh garlic-infused lamb that was tender and full of flavor. The lamb samosas for starters were filled with generous amounts of meat. I also enjoyed the lamb sag paneer dansak with garlic rice, garlic pash, and coriander naan. Overall, a job well done by the restaurant staff. We left as very satisfied customers.
This restaurant is twice as expensive as most Indian restaurants but falls short with inexperienced staff and a Nepalese manager. It feels more like a conveyor belt operation, charging double the price of a typical Indian dining experience.
We were staying at a local hotel due to an emergency at home. So after a long day, we were ravenous. We found this little gem locally and decided to give it a go, and it was such a pleasure! It looked rather busy from the outside, however staff quickly seated us and provided us with popadoms and drinks rather promptly (we visited on a Monday at 8pm). The food was fantastic! Portion size was perfect, and everything tasted fresh and delicious! It was traditional Indian cuisine but without the tonnes of oil cheap takeaways usually send, and with great meat:sauce ratio. The service was fantastic, the gents were lovely and really made an effort with our fussy 4 year old. She managed more than her usual 4 mouthfuls and they kindly gave her a chocolate for the achievement. Our only complaint would be the drinks were quite pricey for what they were, £2.95 for a can of Coke, but other than that we couldn’t fault it. If we ever find ourselves in the local area again, we will happily return!
