The Grill on the Market - London

The grill on the market has recently closed, but bookings can still be made via OpenTable. In the meantime, I highly recommend trying Hix, located on the opposite side of the market, as an alternative option.

Great restaurant with a spacious bar area in the front for drinks and cocktails, and a cozy restaurant at the back. The atmosphere is secluded, personal, and intimate. The staff was attentive and the food was delicious, with excellent delivery, presentation, and portion sizes. Overall, a very enjoyable culinary experience.

Mussels were the hit of the day, although wished there were more sauces to finish. Cocktails were for Happy Hour. Steak was perfect. I'll hurry back. Go early if you want oysters, they had sold on Saturday practically at 6:00. So we couldn't try them.

This was the second time I have eaten here and again enjoyed a very good meal. The service was excellent and with the 40% deal off the a la carte menu meant we got very good value for good quality food. We will definitely return here again.

Food was good unfortunately the whole meal was let down by the service. The waiting staff kept using a large party as an excuse to why our food was delayed (even though that wasn't). The waiter wasn't attentive and literally just kept mentioning the party. We weren't offered dessert and we left waiting for 45 minutes to which I had to get the bill. I spoke to the head waiter and he could get no waiter to finish the bill. I'm not going back.
