The ruck huh was delicious and the service was excellent!
The food, ambience and service was so uplifting. We ordered the oxtail and dumplings, plantain and salt fish fritters, and our kind waiter recommended we have more chips too! Thank goodness she did as the food was so flavourful and moreish. It was like a hug! Another lovely surprise was that we won a raffle and got a free t shirt and silky head scarf! Regardless of whether you win the raffle, the experience was a true winner.
One of my fave place for jerk chicken and salt fish fritters. I was hesitant to try the Mac and cheese as I’ve had other Mac and cheese that haven’t been so good but this one is the best I’ve tasted. Rice and peas were yum and the jerk gravy sauce was perfect! Salt fish fritters are a must try. My friend got the chana vegan curry which she loved! I have now tried the goat curry for the first time which so flavourful! Their portions are quite big, I had some left over for tomorrow’s lunch.
What a hidden gem in Walthamstow. Came here with my family for a Sunday meal. Had such lovely attentive service from our host. She welcomed and us and was warm with her demeanor. The food was DELICIOUS and authentic. We thanked the Chef and will be back again. Most likely for the bottomless Sunday brunch. I adored the rum punch and will recommend to all
