Paternoster Chop House - London

Terrible from start to finish. Service very very slow, we waited 30 mins for drinks and then the waiter had to be shown everything on the menu to take the order. The restaurant was very noisy, voices echo and the air con was so cold you froze in your seat. Most disappointing was the food. Expensive and steaks not cooked to standard ordered and served on cold plates. Filet steak £39 not cooked on one side at all! Served raw! Chewy ribeye and in no way worth the ridiculous prices. No trimmings all extra side orders, even chips at £5 extra were half empty. Will never return, paid half the bill and went elsewhere for dessert!!

Slow service, overpriced food and drink and 13.5% service charge .. I won’t be returning

The welcome and service from the staff was excellent. We were able to sit outside and watch the world go by. The steak was excellent

Good food, bad service. Only had 4 tables occupied including ours but still managed to ignore us and forget about the wine we ordered until after we’d already finished our starters.

The service was polite, the food excellent, albeit expensive, and the atmosphere was great. Had clients over from the Caribbean, who felt the cold outside. The waitress moved us inside without any issue. The only problem was the wait time. For two courses, we were there for two hours.
