Contribuiți la feedbackI have been a regular at this restaurant for many years. It is open around the clock, making it the perfect spot for those leaving a nearby bar or pub with a craving for a quick meal. The service is fast and friendly, and the food is consistently delicious. A great perk is their 2 for 1 offer on the taste card. In addition to the typical dishes like noodles, aromatic duck, and sweet and sour chicken, I was pleasantly surprised to find that they also offer dim sum, which I thoroughly enjoyed. While most of the dishes were impressive, I was not a fan of the pork and dumplings, as they were tough and lacked flavor. Despite this, I will continue to visit this restaurant, sticking to the dishes I know and love.
I recently visited The New Mayflower in the West End for the second time with a friend. While I wouldn't call it amazing, the Chinese food is of a good standard and on the pricier side. The restaurant is popular among the Chinese community, which is usually a good sign. The service is not great, as it can be quite abrupt, but the food is served quickly and the restaurant appears clean. The decor is simple and outdated, but that's not the reason to come here. If you're looking for a Chinese restaurant in China Town or the West End to enjoy with some beers and a friend, this would be an ideal spot.
The food at this restaurant is quite good. I recommend trying the salt chili tofu and the honey roast ribs. The prices are also very reasonable.
Could go easy on the salt. Got the set meal for two that includes four dishes and fried rice with egg. The three dishes are shredded duck wrap, fried beef strips, mixed vegetables and fried chicken with black bean sauce and peppers. Portions wise, enough for three.
The starter was good and main we had, which was the,Turbot was absolute stunning. The staff were lovely and accommodating too. Would definitely visit again and recommend it.
