Contribuiți la feedbackI visited 5 of my colleagues for a meal with my wife and knew how good it would be. All colleagues have enjoyed it and will be back. Thank you.
Fantastic food and great service: My second visit here and can say that these guys are really passionate about their food and customer experience. The restaurant was pretty crowded and we were glad we booked. The whole food was excellent! The sushi rolls and salmon nigiri were really fresh and beautiful. Restaurant was nice, the food was incredible, delicious, amazing presentation! The service was also attentive by the waiter and not intrusive. When you go, I recommend the Japanese desserts the mochi! The location is a 5-minute walk from Victoria Train Station. I look forward to all!!
My family of five dined at Kouzu while on vacation. Each of us felt a very strange vibe at Kouzu. We were seated in a corner of the first level by a woman who then took our drink orders. There was only one or two other tables filled. My son ordered a soda—a coke. She said they didn’t serve any soda in the restaurant. Really? So he instead ordered a water. She proceeded to bring a large bottle of water that she opened in front of us. I asked what it was—that he wanted just a tap water in place of the soda they didn’t carry. The server then left the table. Another gentlemen came around and sort of took over. I asked him why they didn’t carry any other drinks except water—he said oh we have lemonade coke, Diet Coke etc. The next strange thing was the menu. They gave us ample time with the menu and when they came to take our order I asked what a certain thing was—he said oh that’s a priz five menu that’s different! This menu has never been passed out to us. This was a sushi restaurant and what is nice—and needed quite honestly—is a rundown of each item as it’s placed on the table, as the majority of us ordered a la carte. This didn’t happen. I will say the food itself was delicious, however, the strange vibe we got coupled with the sizable price tag would deter me from patronizing this restaurant again if given the chance.
Excellent food overall had sashimi, nigiri, tempura, aubergine and softshell crab starters (much recommended), gyoza. Good sake. Service very poor for an establishment of this price. The waitress ' English was quite poor (I normally never complain about this) , she couldn 't answer any specific questions orders were taken piecemeal, and I had specifically mentioned in my booking it was my wife 's special birthday. Nothing at all was said or done, which is disappointing. Communication was minimal. Another waiter was friendlier. Perhaps it was her first week working here? Human touch is important and this is why I can only give a good score overall, as this is not a cheap restaurant.
It was great value for afternoon tea. But there was a miscommunication on booking which made us almost leave the restaurant. The front person agreed in the end but the it should have stated the booking need to be done per 2s. We were party of 3. Especially I did make a call to the restaurant to assure about the booking as I did it get email response about my inquiry.
