Didnt have booking despite being on my phone. Then shown a high table but when i explained i preferred somewhere nearer the ground they found a normal table. Despite having a large chalkboard with the menu of fayre was told no kitchen until 630 . when we asked why we were told no chef Sorry but when does a board of cheese and a board of cold meat require a chef. Even at 630 no food available. So we left In such circumstances something approaching a smile would alleviate matters but in this case a complete indifference from the staff was the only thing on the menu

Excellent choice for lunch with good choice of tapas, sandwiches and main dishes catering for all appetites. All very tasty and good value. Mainly a wine bar with sooo many bottles and also by the glass. Charming, helpful staff. Will go again when in the area.

I hadn’t made a reservation, even though I was on my phone. They initially showed me to a high table, but when I explained that I preferred a regular table closer to the floor, they accommodated my request. Despite a large chalkboard displaying the menu, we were informed that the kitchen wouldn’t open until 6:30. When we inquired about the delay, the staff simply apologized, but I couldn't understand why a cheeseboard and a cold meat platter required a chef, especially at 6:30 when we were ready to eat. In such situations, I would expect at least a hint of friendliness to make the wait more bearable, but the staff’s complete indifference was disappointing and left a bad impression.

Great food, fantastic wine, and top-notch service. Our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable about the wine, expertly selecting a choice for us.
