Contribuiți la feedbackI made a reservation to revisit this restaurant, and despite receiving confirmation of the booking, the hotel called to ask for a credit card to secure it. I found this to be inappropriate and unnecessary, especially since the restaurant was not busy when we arrived. When we got there, they pushed tables together and informed us that they didn't have a high chair available. We waited about 10 minutes for someone to take our order, but all we got was water without a glass. The orange juice I ordered tasted like it was mixed with concentrate, not freshly squeezed as I had expected. It took another 5 minutes for our drinks to arrive. The food took a long time to come out, and when it did, it was lukewarm and mediocre. My order of poached eggs and brown toast came with 2 eggs and a small piece of undercooked white bread on a tiny plate, while others had regular-sized plates. The eggs benedict looked good but was also cold and lacking in flavor. The scrambled eggs were average, while the French toast with fruit was the standout dish - generous portion, perfect temperature, and delicious taste. Overall, our group was not impressed with the service and found the majority of the food to be underwhelming. We also found it odd that there was a TV show playing almost constantly.
We were looking for a place near Victoria Station to have a long, cozy brunch with 8 adults and a baby, and this restaurant delivered. We had a spacious area for ourselves and the service was excellent, especially since we kept asking for extra coffee and items from the menu for the little one. The menu had a good variety of options, with tasty food overall, although the brunch prices were standard. There was something for everyone, from hearty dishes like eggs and bacon to healthier choices like avocado-based meals. We also appreciated the ease of booking and the immediate attention to details when we ordered the Eccleston. We would definitely return to this restaurant.
I had a disappointing experience at Tapas 37. I love the concept of tapas but prepared in a French kitchen. However, the execution fell short of expectations. The black beignets were a particularly low point, resembling overly sweet cinnamon doughnuts that overpowered the subtle flavors and resulted in a bland meaty texture. The dessert was also lackluster, with a poorly cooked chocolate soufflé that tasted like frozen chocolate cake. On a positive note, the fish dishes were better, particularly the gambas which were flavorful and well-prepared. The service was efficient but impersonal and cold. Overall, I was quite disappointed and would not recommend this restaurant nor return in the future.
Food was very good had originally booked the 'Tapas Delight ' menu 'offer ' but switched to the a la carte as the same items on there worked out cheaper glad we checked! made a change from other restaurants in the Victoria area.
What a nice surprise! We were looking for a restaurant close to a theater, and chose Tapas 37 really by chance. This turned out to be a fortuitous, but wonderful choice this was easily one of the best meals we've ever had. The ambiance is lovely, quiet, and very tasteful. We shared a beef tartare appetizer that was amazing, as were the two dinners. Everything was delectable, with picture perfect presentations. The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, situated on a quiet residential street, and was on the quiet side in terms of other diners, but given the quality of the meal, I don't expect that to last very long.
