Contribuiți la feedbackWe came on a non-busy weekday which was a blessing. The place is big enough to host more people. The food was really delicious. I had the vegetarian food and it was simply superb. He does not have many options so you are limited in your choice but whatever I had was really worth it.
The nicest halal Indian restaurant I've been to in a very long time. Firstly the kids menu was the best I've seen, 4 short chicken skewers with rice, a drink and ice-cream for £9. It was a very generous portion. We selected a range from the menu: the butter chicken was spicy more of tikka masala but excellent nevertheless, chicken biryani oddly didn't have any vegetables yet still hit the spot, lamb shank melted in the mouth, aubergine dish was a nice veggie addition. Sticky toffee pudding with caramel ice-cream... wow! Two please. Nice ending to the evening was that service charge was not added, a nice surprise. Excellent friendly waiters. I've been to Gordon Ramsay next door and I have to say this place is 200x better. Would definitely go back. Recommended.
Satisfactory but wouldn’t recommend or revisit. For the price you’re paying, the food lacks presentation and portion. Between two, you’re forced to order at least 5-6 dishes to feel full. The Tandoori Rara rump of Lamp was £24 and came with two spoonfulls of rice (prevelant across all rice dishes it seems). Despite this, the dishes were cooked well and the flavours were good- though nothing amazing. The service was lacking and there were no staff around the back of the restaurant as they paid attention only to the front of house. Perhaps worth trying to experience but not somewhere to go if you’re expecting a fulfilling meal.
I've had plenty of excellent meals from cinnamon kitchen but sadly this one missed the mark. Went for the festive menu and while the starters were very good the duck main for me wasn't that nice and I simply didn't like desert. The restaurant itself isn't that well laid out. The air ventilation system is very strong and so spent most of lunch in a draft. Service was slow but that's not entirely their fault... they had to cover far too many tables. Oh and the napkins were dirty.
We wanted to try out Indian cuisine around Battersea and decided to give Cinnamon kitchen a try. It was a Saturday night and the restaurant was packed. We didn't have a booking but the staff were courteous enough to give us a seat. The seat was not that great as it was facing the kitchen. No complaints since we didn't have a booking. So highly recommend booking in advance during the weekend. Now in terms of food we had the achari lamb dish and curried hummus for starters. I would rate the lamb starters 3/5 as I felt that the achari flavour was not that prominent. The lamb was perfectly cooked. Hummus deserves 4/5. For mains, we tried the chicken biriyani. It was flavourful and I would rate it 4/5. For dessert, we tried the Shirkand cheesecake. This was the best and I would rate it 5/5. They have a good selection of wine too. The ambience was nice and the staff were very attentive. There was a lady (couldn't get her name) who went above and beyond to provide excellent service. Thank you!
