Cheezelo - London

Had a lovely cheeseboard for lunch. Asked for the vegan cheeseboard to be done for one which was accommodated. The vegan cheeses were homemade the day before and beautifully tasty. Pic in the photo gallery. Really was lovely.

I stopped in for lunch and got a grilled cheese sandwich with onion chutney, which came with a salad. The staff told me that the cheese for the sandwich was violife. The food was delicious and was a good value. This is a charming little cheese shop and café. I enjoyed the atmosphere (cozy European cafe) after I got acclimated to the initial cheese smell, which is quite noticeable as it's a primarily nonvegan cheese shop, but I wanted to mention this as it might not work for some people. There could definitely be more vegan options, but the vegan options they have are clearly marked.

Two vegan cheese options made by the owner of the shop, one plain and one more herby. Both were served as part of a platter with fruit (fig, grape, apple), apple chutney, and crackers. A really cute place for an afternoon snack.

The vegan cheese plate consists of two cheeses made in house: a piquant, crumbly cheddar-ish almond, and a deeply savory herbed cashew. Both were very nice with rosemary crackers and fresh fruit. We enjoyed the snack and would gladly return, particularly if more cheeses make their way onto the menu. The proprietor mentioned trying to start a vegan night with other local businesses, and seemed very pleased that we had come for her vegan options.

The best cheese tasting is there! high quality products and good service make, as usual, the customer satisfaction I highly recommend it
