Contribuiți la feedbackWe enjoyed our meal here, I had a chicken breast burger, my friend had a steak sandwich both very satisfying. The sweet potato wedges were really good and don’t miss the chocolate brownie and ice cream! We were sat by the exit door which was both cold and drafty, but managed to get re seated so no problem. We had to order by scanning a QR code, I had a few issues with the payment but mastered it with the help of my friend. This could be an issue for some, but I will definitely be going back!!
I decided to try this restaurant based on its good reviews. It is located in a peculiar spot on a corner of a quiet residential street, with easy parking available. The back garden was nice, but our table was wobbly and the plants were overgrown, so we moved inside. The Sunday lunch looked impressive when it was served, but the flavors did not live up to the presentation. The beef was cooked perfectly and the Yorkshire puddings were delicious. However, the vegetables were undercooked and the pickled red cabbage was mushy with a strong clover-like taste that made the dish unappealing. The Pinot Noir was good, although slightly warm. The bartender was friendly at first, but the service declined as the meal progressed. Overall, considering the price, I believe there are better options for both food quality and atmosphere.
Most of the review here tell the same story, all bark no bite. The setting is pleasant, staff are nice enough but the food is bang average doesn't represent good value in my opinion. There are likely better options locally. I'm told pre-refit it was better? Buttermilk chicken was a redeeming factor but really only took this place from a 2 to a 3 star job.
After being regular customers at Albion cafe, we were eager to visit the newly refurbished cafe now called the Boundary. Unfortunately, we found that the deli had been removed and the bustling cafe we once loved had been replaced by a quiet, upscale bar. Despite these changes, we decided to give it a try. I inquired about getting gluten-free toast with my eggs, only to discover that it had been removed from the menu, leaving me with no GF options. The tea arrived without milk and the orange juice was forgotten. The food, although tasty, was served lukewarm. The menu choices were now limited compared to before. Albion was London's top spot for breakfast/brunch before the renovation, and we used to visit regularly. Unfortunately, the new Boundary venue falls short in my opinion, and we won't be returning as regulars. We are now on the lookout for a new breakfast spot in London.
We went here at sunday lunchtime surprisingly, it was not busy. There is relatively small but interesting menu. The four of us were all pleased with our choices and everything was well cooked and well presented. The service was friendly and efficient. They accept dogs. We would definitely go back here having been refurbished recently everything is fresh, clean and very appealing.
