We visited Trattoria Arturo as part of a coach tour from the UK. We had a delicious lunch with lots of their own excellent wine. The staff were friendly and helpful and the whole afternoon was a delight. We were also able to purchase some bottles of their wine at a very reasonable price. Very highly recommended.

.. lovely (and historically significant setting), definetely warm and welcoming but unassuming and a real feast for the palate. The restaurant sits just outside the walls enclosing the Madonna della Scoperta historical church. Within easy reach from the autostrada and a pleasent, short drive away from Desenzano del Garda. Plenty of parking space (free) at the door (evenif you will definetely need and and want a short walk after dinner. Nice al fresco dining but also tables inside. Very simple and not too long menu but any pick is a sure bet. But do not expect anything beyond the tradition (but that is why we came here). And no surprise if you welcome the bill with a smile: very fair and will not break your budget. We will definetely go back any time we go by.

We found this place by accident. The homemade pasta was delicious, desert was sort of an apple pie and it was great with a cup of espresso.
