Yard House - Lombard

The restaurant has a lovely ambiance and we were seated quickly. However, our server was not very attentive, and while we had a gentleman who seemed to be a manager help us with a refill, there was also a woman who appeared to be in a managerial role but didn't address our needs. Overall, we felt a bit overlooked. Despite that, I enjoyed the food and would definitely return, as the prices are quite reasonable.

The spicy jambalaya was outstanding! I also tried the spinach dip, which was tasty, although the portion size left something to be desired. After seeing the nachos being served, I wished we had opted for a more substantial appetizer—though to be fair, my dining companions and I were quite hungry, haha. I took the chance to indulge in an old favorite from my truffle fries, and it didn’t disappoint. My drink was fantastic as well; after debating over the many tempting alcoholic options, I finally chose a Sangria. Overall, the food was excellent! There was a bit of a wait, so I recommend signing up for the online alert list, especially on weekend nights. The atmosphere was perfect for an upscale sports bar. Our server was exceptional—knowledgeable about the menu and quick to bring us to a table as soon as we arrived. There was a small mix-up with my order (I received pasta instead of rice), but it was promptly resolved when they sent my new dish to the kitchen right away.

This place is truly incredible! We visited to celebrate our friend's 30th birthday, and it did not disappoint! We kicked off the evening with two half-yard beers and some amazing martinis. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves when it comes to the steak!

Had a really pleasant time at Yard House in Downers Grove with my wife and daughter. I had the Cobb salad and my wife and daughter had zucchini and noodle dishes. We shared a sequence of truffles that were not the best I had, but we are solid. Grilled chicken on Cobb salad was very good. Five stars for the way we were treated by bar staff (we ate at the bar). They made a mistake on one of our horrors, took full property and apologized. They forced us to the court for our waiting period without asking us. We would have been good without their concern for our satisfaction, but it was very appreciated and will let us come back sooner than later. Great customer service.

When you are thinking of where to eat, this is where you go. I mean how can you go wrong? This place has good tunes, good crowd, staff was excellent, and the place looked beautiful. We must have gotten in just before the Sunday dinner rush. Walked right in, no wait. Servers were more than accommodating for my little one. Which is saying a lot in these times of staff shortage and unhappy employees. I am grateful for my experience from the hostess, to the waiter, the bartender, and the kitchen. Outstanding!
