Smiley's Gyros Beef - Logan County

As a Chicago native this place really hits home when you're unable to head into the city, Ava and Hector gave amazing service and the food was amazing, this place will become a staple for my family. Smiley's is a 10/10 establishment with a wonderful atmosphere and a friendly vibe.

I love smileys. But today the cashier, Mark, had a horrible attitude with me. My dad had a long appointment today and we decided to get some food on the way home. He walked away for a moment when we arrived but told me what to order before doing so. I ordered, and then forgot that my dad was paying because he picked me up this morning. I didn’t have my wallet. I told Mark he had to wait a second because my dad was paying. He proceeded to roll his eyes and slap his hands on the counter. Not hard … – show

Order a corned beef sandwich one evening with extra meat. When I say disappointed is an understatement, it is very much so. Not only did it seem like I did not get very much meat for extra, and I do understand the price of corned beef is high, I not even upset over that part. It was the texture of the meat, it was extremely hard and almost unchewable, if that's even a word. It was so bad that the item should be removed from the menu. Just Horrible.

Absolutely delicious. The Gyros are amazing and the sauce on them is great. The beef is well cooked and the toppings you can put on are epic. The time to wait after ordering is not that bad but it is well worth it. Its employees are very friendly and im sure they work very hard. The prices are reasonable and the only thing i dont like is how far away it is from my house. Would HIGHLY recommend.
