Contribuiți la feedbackLove this place! Amazing customer service & the freshest most authentic Lebanese food you'll find. I'm vegan & order the falafel wrap & zaatar (you can get the zaatar vege wrap with no yoghurt), mint tea & Arabic coffee. Amazing sweets too, the ones that look like mini churros are vegan. Couldn't recommend this place enough! #veganbrisbane
For our fortnightly catch-up lunch Meatballs And Beef Cheeks suggested we try the Lebanese offerings at Watany Man-oushi. It's located at the back of the Palmdale Shopping Centre, opposite Garden City. Arriving early I can see it is a grocery store with shelves brimming with foodstuff. I walk into this interesting Middle Eastern grocer/fast-food takeaway shop. The food is all pre-made and in a glass cabinet. I walk out in search of Mr Meatballs and as I approach the Kebab Palace restaurant I spot him checking it out. We decide to have a snack at Watany Man-oushi and return to Kebab Palace for a top-up meal. Returning to the grocery shop we decide on a shared meal of Lamb Bajeen ($4.50) and a Chicken Garlic Pastry ($6.50).The counter-lady puts both items in the oven to heat up then cuts them in two. We walk outside to a large al fresco dining area. The Lamb Bajeen has a thin layer of lamb mince on thin Lebanese bread and is served with a squeeze of lemon and chilli then folded over. I would regard it as light snack somewhat lacking in ingredients and flavour. Rating: 3.0/5.0 The Chicken Garlic Pastry is a more substantial meal. I can taste the pastry, chicken pieces, garlic, pickles and gooey cheese. Rating: 3.5/5.0 We are done with these snacks in under 5 minutes. It's sayonara Watany Man-oushi and bonjour Kebab Palace.

@Joe K and I met for lunch at Watany Manoushi to enjoy some Fatayer and Manoushi - the ever popular meat stuffed pastries and vegetarian bread snacks enjoyed throughout Lebanon. I knew that Watany Manoushi was a Lebanese grocery store, but didn't realise that the whole of their food production would be so small. Despite that, they have ample outdoor seating undercover. Joe and I shared the Lamb Bajeen ($4.50) and the Chicken and Garlic Fatayer ($6.50). The Lamb Bajeen consisted of a very thin layer of Lebanese bread, topped with lamb mince, lemon and chili, served folded over on itself. The flavour was underwhelming and and there was not much to it for $4.50. This rated a 3. The Chicken and Garlic pastry was filled with grilled chicken, garlic paste, pickles and cheese. I enjoyed the flavour combination and was overall much happier with this compared with the Lamb. At %6.50 this represented much greater value for money and was much more filling. This rated a 3.5. Based on my past experience with Lebanese cuisine, I would say that Watany Manoushi's offerings are quite authentic and I would be happy to try a few of their other varieties, including the Halloumi and the Zaatar.
