I find other Thai and pho restaurants to be overrated, and this place truly deserves more recognition and support. As a Mexican, I wholeheartedly approve!
We ordered the red Thai curry with pork and a small side of rice, as well as beef pho noodles. The small rice serving was just $2 and came in a generous portion! The curry was good, but it lacked a unique flavor, and I wasn’t a fan of the large chunks of zucchini. Surprisingly, the pho turned out to be decent, especially after some disappointing experiences at various Vietnamese places in Elk Grove. I didn’t even know that pho was a Thai dish as well! For dessert, we tried the mango sticky rice for the first time. It was a good portion to share and quite tasty! I loved the heart-shaped mold it was presented in. The dish was drizzled with a lovely coconut syrup/glaze that wasn’t overly sweet. It would be nice to have extra syrup on the side, though. Make sure to check my pictures for the updated menu prices for 2024! While it’s not cheap, everything seemed reasonably priced. I might come back again. I gave it four stars because nothing truly stood out as impressive; it was just good. I do prefer Thai Spice, but that was based on just one experience from a year ago, so I may need to revisit for a fair comparison. Also, there are signs everywhere notifying customers about a 3.9% surcharge for credit card payments, so it’s a good idea to bring cash! We were pleased with the service as well. As for accessibility, there’s a ramp leading to the entrance.
Definitely the best Thai food in Lodi. I got the chicken pad thai, beef see ew., chicken yellow curry and garlic noodles. All of it was absolutely delish!
Don't order from here. They will charge you double for things that you don't receive. They are rude and have bad customer service.
The positives: Generous portion sizes. The negatives: The flavors are lacking quality and seem diluted. The Pad Thai noodles were overly soft and poorly spiced. While the eggplant was cooked nicely, the seasoning tasted more like chili powder than traditional Thai spices. The udon soup was disappointing, with a bland, watered-down broth and lackluster noodles. The dipping sauces were also thin and watered down. Although the ingredients appear to be fresh, the dishes miss the mark when it comes to the crisp, sweet, and spicy flavors that define traditional cuisine.
