Tavern On The Bay - LOCUST VALLEY

I visited the restaurant last night with a guest and requested to sit outside. The bartender agreed, so we chose a table outside and waited for about 10-15 minutes. After that, I went back inside to try and get the bartender’s attention but stood there for a few minutes without receiving any assistance. The woman behind the bar offered no customer service and did not communicate well at all; it was clear she was not suited for her role. In short, we ended up going to the Brass Rail, where we enjoyed excellent service and delicious food. I wouldn't return to this restaurant even if you paid me.

Don't go here when they have a large group. We waited 45 minutes and still no food. When we asked, they said they were sorry but they had a large group.. We waited another 10 min, when asked they said that they hadn't even started on our order. So we left and went elsewhere. Too bad. Always liked this place.

So disappointing. We stopped on the way to Port as, as we've had drinks here several times and they are always good. We shared the fish shrimp...

Food was excellent and the service outstanding. We've visited several times over our three months in Corpus Christi and have been very satisfied each visit....
