Daddy's House Of Ribs - Lockeford

This time, I ordered the tri-tip sandwich because my boyfriend raved about how it melted in your mouth. Unfortunately, it was tough and chewy, and although the waiter mentioned it would come with cornbread, I didn't receive any. They only provided one of my sides, so I had to ask for the second one. My boyfriend opted for the pulled pork sandwich, which was supposed to come with coleslaw on the side. He said it was awful, especially since they put the coleslaw directly on the sandwich. It’s disappointing to see how this place went from having the best barbecue we ever tried to a point where we’re determined not to eat there again. What a letdown.

The BBQ ribs were excellent, but the side dishes were overcooked. The restaurant is quite small, and there is no indoor seating. However, the outdoor patio area is nicely decorated. Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly.

We were passing through Lockeford a couple of weeks ago and decided to stop by this restaurant because my 92-year-old dad loves BBQ. We appreciated the charming outdoor patio seating, which is our favorite. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich for us to share, and it was fantastic. The meat was tender and of great quality, the sauce was delicious, and the bun was very fresh. They even included coleslaw in the sandwich, something I had never tried before, and it was delightful. My dad even remarked that the meal was excellent, which is quite a rare compliment from him! Although they mixed up my side order and the lady at the counter wasn't exactly friendly, overall, we had a very enjoyable lunch. I'm glad we don't live too far away, and I'm sure we'll be making trips back to Daddy's for another meal.

Marcellus and her husband have all the bases covered, and covered well. Starting with an easy to use menu, excellent options, very reasonable prices, homemade EVERYTHING, clean and attractive sitting area and restroom, courteous and efficient service.Now to the food itself.My wife had the rib ends and green beans. There was a fantastic amount of rib ends, and the green beans were from scratch with bacon pieces. Shes extremely sensitive to MSG so can't eat most store bought BBQ sauce. But not only was their sauce delicious sweet and tangy, she had no MSG headache afterwards.I had the smoked turkey leg which i found to have the perfect amount of smoke flavor, and was super yummy.We can't wait to drive through this town again and get more delicious food.

My mom and I decided to check this place out after driving by out for the past year. We really were hoping to eat there, but it was just too hot to sit out on the patio.The food was served quickly and the taste was GREAT. However, I was disappointed to spend 30.00 for 3 ribs and a drumstick and small thigh. The small sides were extremely small. This place has amazing food, but it is just so over priced that I would hesitate going again. I mean, I will go back, but I just need to be prepared to spend a lot for very little.It's probably one of the most expensive BBQ places I have been too.
