Lobethal Hotel

We had a lovely drive through the hills watching the colours of Autumn change everything golden and red. We stopped for lunch and it was marvellous.Good size serves , friendly staff and a positive vibe. Bathrooms were lovely and clean. It was a simple meal cooked well and tasted fantastic. The town is cute and worth a walk around. Will be back.

The décor is very tired and it could certainly do with a facelift BUT the food is good, surprisingly so. The staff are friendly and helpful. don't let the surroundings put you off.

Slow service, not good food, ignored by staff. Go somewhere else and enjoy your meal out. After all it's not cheap to eat out, so give it a miss.

Had lunch here in early October 2015. Dined as a couple and we both asked for the fish and chips with salad.The meals arrived within 10 minutes of ordering - two pieces of fish each, lots of chips and a bowl of salad...so a generous serving.Although tasty the fish was very oily and we both ended up leaving the meal unfinished. Would not choose this item from the menu again.Plenty of parking in the adjacent shopping centre car park, and behind the hotel...but very little shade available if you are traveling with animals.
