Went for in after a lovely walk to be greeted by very pushy staff. Instantly rushing us with what we wanted before we’d even read the menu, had ask for 2 Victoria sponge cake to be told theres only one left.5mins later shes bringing more out after we got told there wasnt any. We received a warm welcome from this lovely cafe. The place was cosy and traditional. The food was tasty- good value for what you got. Great chat with the lady owner who, on request, said the name of the town for us. Chris's effort to say the name was sound, to be fair. Price per person: £1–10

Don't forget to take cash! You can get some from the Coop up the road. Great local cafe with a traditional menu, decent prices, and good sized portions. Quiet atmosphere. Staff are lovely and the place is so clean and tidy. Right across the street from the woollen mill cafe and yet so much better and more welcoming. 2 meals for £12 deal on when we were there which was great value. Seating outside at the back would be lovely on a nice day. Food: 5
