Best barbecue in middle Georgia. And our favorite chicken salad. Keep plenty when family is in town.

Georgia bobs on riverside has been going down in customer service over the last few months. Staff typically dressed inappropriately for customer interaction, slow food preparation, overall quality poor. Sitting here 20 plus minutes just to find out they just dropped my chicken order. Poor service. May as well close if your equipment isn't working correctly.

I tried calling in an order but no one answered, so I ordered online. No problem, except I had to wait for them to accept our order. We drove the 20 minutes there and then they accepted our order after having to inquire at the counter. I immediately got a text message that said our order was ready which we knew could not be correct. The staff denied sending it and had no idea who sent it to us. So, we waited an additional 25 minutes to only receive a partial order with some incorrect items. My husband went back to the counter and we had to show them the receipt to prove what we had ordered. We still didn't receive 2 items, so we finally just gave up. The kitchen staff was very rude and the guy at the counter kept apologizing for their behavior. Food quality was not great. Very thin burger without the requested toppings, never received the Carolina bbq sandwich so we have no idea if it was good or not, pulled pork was just ok, fruit cup is literally a fruit cup off a grocery store shelf; Mac and cheese, sweet potato tots, slaw and green beans were also just ok. A nearby table returned half their food to the counter, so apparently they were also having challenges. We were traveling to FL from OH and will not stop again on any future trips. We try to support local vs chain restaurants but we wished we had gone to one of the fast food options.

A sub standard barbecue visit for any state, but a poor quality barbecue especially for a Georgia based smoker. Definitely no need to try this place- don’t let the national awards or television appearance fool you. COLD brisket that was nothing more than sliced pot roast. Fatty mess. No smoke taste or ring. Pork flavorless and smokeless and served less than room temp. Frozen sweet potato tots barely warmed. No ServSafe food temp Che is happening here. And the staff personalities….

Don't eat here. One expects to get good barbecue in Georgia. And one would be disappointed if they went to this place. We ordered a brisket sandwich and a pulled pork sandwich and some beans. Pulled pork sandwich was average at best. And the brisket was so fatty as to defy description. Mostly in edible. The beans were good. The barbecue sauce containers haven't been cleaned since the fall of Rome. They are sticky and unpleasant to handle. The whole place is kind of old and beat up. One in edible sandwich for 750 and one average sandwich for 750 is not a good deal
