La Barcarola - LIVORNO

Nice interior with a lovely garden. The pasta was quite good and the tiramisu was really delicious. The food was served pretty fast but service was not great, we had to wait a really long time to get our bill and almost missed our train because of that.

Food was AMAZING. We are foreign and don’t speak Italian, and the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. It’s a Catholic holiday today and the waiter told us and then gave us free champagne! The cacciucco is highly recommended. Lovely garden terrace as well.

We stumbled across this charming restaurant by chance and received a very warm welcome from the owner. The food was excellent and the house red was outstanding. A wonderful experience overall. Well worth a trip to Livorno just to visit this place.

Delicious food in a somewhat backward setting, octopus, caciucco, and delicious ravioli.
