What a disaster! Two weeks before Christmas, we took a trip to Auburn to buy Lebanese sweets from Farouk El Bahsa Sons, only to find that they were no longer there. It took us a few weeks to find another source of mafroukeh and filled shortbread. Luckily, Al Israa turned out to be just as good with their baked goods, and almost as good with the mafroukeh. We decided to get a takeaway and everything was beautifully presented on plastic trays. We were told that many people come to buy the sweets as gifts due to the nice presentation. It was a relief to find a new source of mahfroukeh!
The desserts were fresh and incredibly delicious. They do not accept EFTPOS, but they have an ATM available for cash withdrawals.
