The exhibition was fantastic and despite its popularity, the entry times were well managed, allowing visitors the right amount of time and space to fully enjoy the exhibits. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and the café was also lovely. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to explore the rest of the museum, but we are definitely planning a return trip!
I thoroughly enjoyed the museum. The terrace exhibition was outstanding. The staff were brilliant and very helpful. It was my first time using my wheelchair and I found access to all areas to be easy. My only complaint is with the café. The menu stated that chips were available from 11:00, but we were informed they were not available until 11:30. Additionally, the lady behind the counter was not very helpful when we asked for assistance. After ordering a sausage sandwich, the tea cake was very dry.
Stopped for tea and cake after visiting the galleries with the little un. Lovely light, bright space for cafe with gluten free chocolate cake and loose leaf tea in good pouring pots. Nice, think I prefer this space to the Walker next door. Would stop...again.
Grand surroundings, and space to appreciate them. Good menu to choose from. Didn't feel hurried, like i have at the Walker, as it is so busy there.
The food at this restaurant is too expensive for what you can find at other places. If you are spending the day in this area, it's worth taking a short walk to Lime Street or Liverpool One instead. At this cafe, you have to wait in a long line to get prepackaged food served cafeteria-style, and it's more expensive because there aren't any fast food options nearby to compete with. Unfortunately, this seems to be the norm for museum cafes in Liverpool.
