I love this pub! A Liverpool Institute, locally known as The Big House with extravagant carved woodwork decoration only the Phil. Always crawl a great stop on every city center pub, and if you really are lucky, the functional space on the back is opened with its stained glass dome. Go!

Old fashioned late victoriana Gin Palace. Check out the lounge, especially the freeze over the fireplace. The back room is fantastic, wooden panels and a skylight, are quite remarkable.
