Caffe Nero Liverpool, Whitechapel

I visited this Nero café last week with a friend. He wanted to have breakfast there, so I agreed to join him. When he couldn't decide what to order, I went ahead and ordered a pain au chocolat and a cappuccino for myself. Although it was a bit pricey, the pain au chocolat was delicious and tasted even better dipped in the cappuccino. Unfortunately, my friend didn't end up getting anything to eat. When I asked him what happened, he explained that the waitress at the counter ignored him multiple times, causing him to feel frustrated and eventually give up. I was disappointed by this experience, as it is unfair for a customer to be treated rudely just because a staff member may not enjoy their job. It is important for customer service to be a top priority, regardless of personal feelings towards the job.

Been here a couple of times to get a cup of hot chocolate. Always delicious and served hot and fresh. The only complaint I have is when asking for whipped cream, they really don't put a lot of cocoa in it. That's my fault, I suppose. Still delicious!

We dropped in for coffee and cakes after a busy afternoon around Liverpool. Having ordered I had need of both a toilet and somewhere to wash my hands before eating my cake. It was then when the barista informed us that the toilets were out of order. Had I know beforehand we could have gone to the coffee shop 2 doors away.But we had to eat our cakes with scruffy hands. I didn't even think it was legal to operate a cafe without toilet facilities in working order.

Reasonable effort not amazing but creditable. Service very slow given few customers. Barista very nice and wore a smile which was quite refreshing.

The coffee is good but for a small sandwich this price is high. The service is lacking not a smile to be seen. Will try someone else.
