Red Moon Tavern - Little Rock

Red Moon Tavern is rapidly becoming one of our favorite spots for date nights! The atmosphere strikes a perfect balance between casual and sophisticated, and the staff is fantastic. On our last visit, Phoebe was our waitress, and she was delightful and very attentive to our needs. We definitely plan to return often! And don’t miss out on the gumbo—it’s a must-try!

**Shrimp Grits:** I chose this as my main dish, even though it's listed as part of the small plates menu. It featured six perfectly seasoned blackened shrimp served over cheesy jalapeño grits. The grits had a lovely texture and a hint of jalapeño flavor without being too spicy. My only complaint was that it could have used a sauce to complement it, but the dish was flavorful enough that I would happily have it again. **Creamy Tomato Bisque:** This was served in a generous portion! The soup was rich and velvety with great flavor, making it perfect for dipping bread. **Seafood Gumbo:** My husband ordered this dish, which had a nice spicy kick with shrimp, andouille sausage, and grilled chicken served over cheesy jalapeño grits. He enjoyed the flavor and noted it had a slight spice. He thought it would make a delicious addition to my shrimp and grits, and he would definitely order it again. The restaurant has a casual vibe, and the menu is small, focusing primarily on pizza. Overall, we had a pleasant experience with excellent service.

I only enjoyed their pizza and truffle fries; everything else was quite overpriced.

As a first-time visitor, I tried the burger accompanied by creamy crawfish mac and cheese and potato chips. Everything was delicious, and I was pleased that the burger was juicy. I also highly recommend the jalapeño grits and the artichoke/spinach appetizers—they were fantastic!

The food and ambiance at Red Moon are always top-notch, but what truly sets it apart is the genuine care the staff shows for our two small children when we visit. Every server goes above and beyond to engage with them, whether it's customizing their orders or bringing over highlighters for some coloring while we wait. Other staff members often stop by just to compliment the kids or chat with them. It’s the small gestures that really make a difference, and our kids enjoy their time at Red Moon just as much as we do!
