Constance, the manager needs to find a job where she doesn't deal with people. I was in charge of picking a restaurant to meet a friend. Five days prior to our get-together I went to The Perch to check out their menu, it looked good, with lots of variety, so I made a reservations for 1:00 p.m the following Thursday on the outside patio over-looking the falls . When I arrived there was no table reserved on the patio and Constance told me no reservations had been made. I told her the day I made it and described the person who I booked it with. She again claimed there was nothing written in the book. I said I had watched the woman write it in the binder. Constance informed me, many people come in saying they have a reservation and they do not. I told her I had no reason to lie and did not appreciate her insinuating that I was. She then made matters worse by telling me I was welcomed to go and eat some place else. By that time my friend had arrived and rather than having our reunion spoiled by driving around looking for another restaurant, we took an inside booth enjoyed our visit and needless to say, left no tip to Constance who choose to wait on us.
The best veggie pizza and Greek Salad....Worth any wait. A great view of the falls or just take out and enjoy at the cottage.
First time here since it changed hands. Nice view as usual, very slow service. We sat for an hour before our meals arrived. They were good, but not worth the wait. Won't be returning until I see some reviews about it getting faster. There are plenty of other establishments in town, and there's no way they could be slower.
Thursday night. Pouring rain. Wife and I worked all day in our service business in Lindsay without lunch. 5 pm. Live in Fenelon Falls. Stopped on our way home at the Perch for our favourite local pizza. Large restaurant and patio. 4 other customers.at one table. Ordered 2 draft and a large specialty pizza. We were told they only serve 10 inch individual pizzas when it's busy. But the waitress said it is slow -I'll check. No luck. Policy is written in stone I guess. ALTHOUTH not in the menu I keep in my office. I asked if I could order a large for take out. No problem. Just can't eat it in the empty restaurant. Could anyone in the food service industry explain the mentality or lack of it that explains this policy? If the policy was in their menu we wouldn't have ordered the beers- I would order the pizza from my office as I have done before ready for pick up when I got to Fenelon Falls ( not have to wait half an hour). Arrogant decisions like this reflect badly on all the service and hospitality business in our small towns.Needless to say we will not be back. In our business we believe one happy customer will create one referral. One unhappy customer will tell ten. Thank you Trip Advisor!p.s The pizza was better warmed up at 425 degrees for 8 mins at home.
This was a nice stop for a quick meal. We sat outside and had a great view. The tables and chairs weren't overly comfortable and the tables were close together but it allowed for more people to enjoy the view. We were there on one of the few sunny days this summer. The food was enjoyable and the service was good. They seem very busy and the servers seem to know a lot of the regulars but made us new comers feel welcome too.
