I ordered online and noticed there were five staff members working, which seemed unusual for a restaurant of this size. I've never encountered such a situation at other places, where there are more than two people working but still seem to be short-staffed. It feels like they might be losing customers, as ordering at the counter in an empty restaurant is quicker than waiting ten minutes for an online order to be ready for pickup.
I visited this location in the UK and had a disappointing experience. At just 24 years old, I felt quite out of place as there seemed to be no other patrons around. There was a woman who complained about her order not being ready, and I can relate because I had a similar issue on my first visit. On my second visit, I accidentally ordered the wrong vegan smoothie. I didn’t ask for a refund; instead, I simply requested the correct item. However, Makayla behaved as if Smoothie King was her personal domain. When I asked if the manager could be called because they refused to remake my order, Makayla made me wait unreasonably long, as if she was trying to delay the process. After standing there for what felt like an eternity, I asked Jade how much longer it would take, and she indicated it would be 2-3 minutes. Eventually, Jade instructed Makayla to step aside, but when she did, Makayla came out with a noticeable attitude. Once my order was corrected, I thanked her twice, but she didn’t acknowledge my gratitude at all. I then requested the manager Danille’s phone number, and after Makayla went back inside, another young staff member emerged. She made eye contact with Makayla as if they were sharing a joke, which felt unprofessional. She eventually provided me with the phone number, but this situation is far from just a review—I'm prepared to escalate this issue through email and calls to higher management. If these young employees want to play around, they should do it on the playground, not with customers’ money. What is going on here?
This is truly my favorite Smoothie King of all time! The staff is very attentive, and the customer service is incredibly clever. My smoothie is always made to perfection. I always feel like I get great value for my money here, making the trip worthwhile every time!
First time to come to this place and Jada B. made my experience amazing! She was very helpful, worried and recommended the delicious strawberry and Banana Activator! I will definitely come back to get another one! Thanks Jada!
This place has a bad bug problem. As soon as you walk into the store gnats are flying up my nose and in my face. I was ok with the bugs nagging me until I heard the employees talking about the bugs in the fruit. When one of the girls brought a container from the back and opened it she and another girl were chatting about the bugs in the fruits. But what really caught my attention is when the girl poured my smoothie a bug flew onto my smoothie before she could put the top on. I know this was out of her control and I really appreciate her making it over and not serving it after noticing the bug. This is not something customers want to see when trying to support a business. Customer service was great though.
