Tavern Off The Green - Litchfield

I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The service was slow, the food was terrible, and the prices were high. The place was empty and there was no sign indicating where to enter.

The food at the restaurant was excellent, but the service was lacking. The waitress seemed unhappy and never smiled, constantly interrupting our meal to ask if we were ready to place our main course order, despite our request to just enjoy our appetizers in peace.

Went with friends as we had other friends that were the entertainment. Food was superb. Steak was cooked to perfection. Our server, Amy, was great. The band was awesome, as always!

I was extremely let down by my experience at this restaurant. The server lacked personality and the nachos were just average. There was no salad, and the steaks were overly fatty, leaving me only able to eat a quarter of mine. To top it off, after coffee was served, the server dropped the check without offering a refill. This was especially disappointing as we were celebrating my husband's birthday.

I really like this restaurant on a weekday when one can sit with friends and have conversation and a pleasant meal. Being older I don't like the noise we encountered on a weekend with loud music and competing restaurant noises. For me weekdays is best and I would go back.
