Friendly staff, cosy pleasant bar. Food very tasty, will b returning

Following a friend's wedding where the food was exceptional, have now visited the Spread Eagle for a steak night on a Tuesday (excellent) and lunch with friends in the garden on a weekday. Will certainly go again.

We went for Lunch on Sunday, luckily we booked as it soon filled up! I had the Blue Cheese Burger and I have to say it was an amazing burger it really was something else! to start I had Scallops and Black Pudding Wow..! really good too. Traditional Sunday lunch looked great and the kids were well catered for. We are looking forward to our next visit!

We actually eat here fairly regularly, even though its a short drive from home and we have a number of other pubs/restaurants within walking distance. The food is always great and the service is really friendly so why would we eat anywhere else? It has a real pub feel about it with locals dropping in for a drink so has a lovely atmosphere. To top it off, it's amazing value for money. Highly recommended.

Table of 14 for Sunday lunch. Food and service excellent. We chose the Spread Eagle specifically for the children's playground. We had six small children and it made such a difference to our enjoyment. We will be back.
